Saraswati Puja

Saraswati puja is celebrated to worship the goddess Saraswati. It is mainly celebrated in the month of February and March.  According to the Hindu calendar, Basant Panchami is celebrated on the fifth day of the month of Maagh and thus, the name 'Panchami'15 . In this festival, we ask goddess Saraswati for knowledge and wisdom. In Hindu culture, it is believed that Devi Saraswati is the goddess of wisdom and knowledge. She wears a white sari and there are vina and books in her hand.

In Saraswati puja, we take a bath in the morning and wear new clothes. We keep our books and copy in front of goddess Saraswati's feet. so that she can enlighten us with her grace. This festival is mainly for students. They become very happy at this festival. They collectively organize this festival by collecting money.

There are many advantages of this festival. Due to this festival confidence of students increase and they do better in their studies. We make rangoli on the road and decorate our whole society. Which makes our society more beautiful and attractive.

There are also a few disadvantages we spend money on unnecessary things. Students ask for donations from house to house. Sometimes they demand a heavy amount and they do not think about the condition of the house. They spend their precious time organizing the festival. I think that if they spend those time in their study they can gain more knowledge.

My opinion is that we should celebrate Saraswati puja in a simple way. We should help those students who do have not money for their studies. We should distribute books, copies, and pens to the poor student.
